i should have just said that and left this dead horse to get beat
if you want good snow and mountains around the northwest area, i would not reccommend spokane as a place to be living. moreso bellingham or seattle areas
Schweitzer is 1.5 hours away where you can still ride untracked powder just off the main runs anytime of the day after a storm. Also this is the latest description of the park:
The Terrain Park had a huge remodel last week. New changes to the layout of the park, plus the addition of a beginner park on Crystal. New features include; 40', 50', 55', & 60' tables all linked together, and a 70' step down. The 6 feature rail line should keep the jibber in you happy. Come check out what the crew has put together, it's rad!
Those are real measurements too by the way. Coming from the westside spokane is pretty ghetto, but the skiing in much enjoyed. Not that you should be going to school because of skiing, it just helps.
Um bullshit I work in the the park and built that 70 footer. It's there! We will have 8 rials in a row by the weekend 4 jumps in a row, the angry dragon rial is set up sweet, and the new hip should quite a bit bigger with the storm we are getting right now. Plus mabey a couple other new features will be up.
Schweitzer is like a 2 hr drive from Spokane. I go to Gonzaga and I definitley reccomend it. It is a fun place. Choose c/m as your dorm next year. It is a shit hole but you will have fun
Schweitzer has stepped it up this year in huge AMounts and unfortunatly i dont even think the waterfall at stevens will ever compete unless they push that landing big..
We shall see. If stevens had a dedicated park crew that schweitzer has know got, and a managment behind it, then things could be good.
the snow itself is pretty good.the city usually never gets more than a foot in 1 storm, and it never gets much higher in general.mt spokane is the best really small mt w/ a nice park, but schweitzer is no dount the best for everything.
