i want to buy look px12 are they good? can i land fakie wihtout them exploding? light? Good qualtiy for $?
any help would be grand

well Ti's are made with lighter / stronger material and also when i went to the local shop they told me to stay away from the the LOOK px12/ti's cuz they have much larger heel pieces which are there for better facing performance. He then directed me to the Salomon 912s which i destroyed the year before. I ended up with last years look P12 jibs off of ebay for like $130

Why would he tell you to stay away from the px12 ti ? It's practically the same binding just lighter construction. And so what if the heel piece is a bit larger. I'm not sure if I understand what you're trying to say.

the ti is titanium. they are great bindings. they won't explode. just get em

ok ligbhter stronger... isnt that better then why stay away so does everyone agree that look px12 ti's are good and i should buy them if i want to land fakie without explosions please respond i jsut want to ski dammit

just look for a pair of last year and any previous rossi or look axials.

Look has never let us down man. NEVER. It's a very safe bet that they will not explode. They have metal in all the right places, and limited plastic construction. I'd say they is a better chance for them to rip out of the ski than to explode.

ive rode px12 and px14 equivelants (scratch 120 and axium 140) and i must say theyre pretty good.
you wont explode on switch landings or any landing for that matter. just make sure whoever mounts your skis adjusts the heel piece so there is proper forward pressure (there is a little meter on the heel piece). if there isnt enough pressure, you can click out like just a tiny bit which feels weird but not bad, then you click back in.

what is the proper forward pressure i dk i dont have the bindings yet is their a certain setting you recommend and should i go px12 or px12 ti?

I just got the px12 ti's at the start of the season and they have been workin great till they literally exploded the other day. i was doin a five, landed switch and both bindings exploded at the same time. the heel peace and brakes of both bindings tore off and my skis rocketed all the way down the mountain and into some trees.. it was pretty sweet. i just got them fixed and hopefully they will last longer this time
