people call me a pussy, but I seriously stretch before I hit the slopes. And what grabs are you having trouble with, all of them???
Some people seriously aren't made to do certain grabs. I'll be honost, I have trouble with safeties, because my legs are so long. I stick with mutes, japans, criticals, and tails (sorry no blunts).
stretch all the time. after a while you will get more flexible and those grabs will get easier. And the more flexible you are the less likely to get hurt
i have trouble with tails. im like 4 inches away from the grab. safety's are easy for me but blunts are nasty for me...cant do em. i cant grab my 3's because i can barely 3 but i can do basically any grab with 1's
It is probably a sign that you have poor awareness in the air. Do you feel you constantly land blind when spinning? I had that feeling when I first started to learn how to spin...I couldn't grab cause I truly had no idea where I was in the air. Get on a trampoline and watch your landing more, and try grabbing. In the end, certain grabs will help you do certain tricks even easier.
what i do is when i come into the jump i have the hand that im going to grab with at the angle of wich my ski will be so im not having to twist my hand...for instance when i rab tail, i angle my hand out. and when i grab mute, i angle it in...does that make sense?
