Replying to Newbie here in need of more advice. just scored a pair of rossi scratch

just scored a pair of last year's rossi scratch on ebay for 2 hundred. my first pair of twin tips! i'm almost out of school and have my first real job so i finally have some $ to ski on!

here's my question. in 2001 my first pair of skis were a pair of 170 rossignol cuts. they have a binding called rossi pd or pr 60. something like that. will they work on the scratch. i'm just learning things like 360s and grabs. never been in a park. or are the old ones a complete injustice, or too outdated or heavy?
