alright so my friend has last years ar5's and the edge started coming out (starting at the tails of the ski and workin its way up until it was completely gone) so he ask our local rep what how he could get them fixed and the guy reply "nothing as soon as you hit a rail the warrenty void". if neone knows if this is bullshit or not tell me, cuz the warrenty says they wont fix damage caused by rails, but sense the problem started at the tails this obviously wasnt caused by rails
the same thing happened to me, except right directly under the boot. I sent them in and I juist had to pay 250 for a new pair. my original ones wee unskiable becasaue the edge was ripped out, so for them to give me a deal was a nice alternative to buying a 700 dollar new pair of 4 frnts
my topsheet started to come off last year and i thought they would say no cause it was considered "cosmetic" but i gave tyson hall a ring and he said send em in and i did. if u can get the number to armada and ask for tyson tanner's brother he will proly hook u up like he did for me. but gettin the number was kinda hard for me since they dont really like calls straight from the customers. they like to work through the dealers
i have a pair that is beat up just from skiing they are 03/04's they still work but the edge's are starting to crack all along the ski. i've never used them on urban just regular rails but the damage is all along the ski so it isn't from the rails i think they are just getting old can they still be waranteed?
ya man warantys are gay i broke a pair of atomics last year on rail and i went in to the shop and asked for a warranty they said sure they asem me how i broke them i said a rail they were like aaaa never mind...
my edges on my thalls have cracks all over the place. the edge is coming out right at the middle of the ski. i hope i can get them warrenteed even tho its mostly rail damage
SKIS AREN'T MADE FOR RAILS. DO RAILS AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE. Stop complaining about it please. Buy old skis if you want to d rails and not have to pay for it later.
This all comes with the sport you guys took up, so stop your complaining.
the problem lies within the fact that armada, for example, advertizes their products and athletes on rails. and mostly burly rails at that.
then when, say, armada turns their back on you when you try to imitate what the product has been proven to be capable of, and end up with some structural damage to the ski...it is not right.
That's ridiculous. You obviously know that metal is going to wreck your skis. If you can't deal with paying for new skis when they break, don't do the rails.
dude. my scratches are in near perfect shape after three years of plentiful park rails, sreet rails, urban ledges, and the like.
so no, metal and other sliding surfaces have not wrecked my skis at all. don't assume that skis will always succumb to rails.
I've used my skis on tons of rails too, with little to no damage that I care about. I have cracked edges on my fujatives, but I know that because of rail sliding I can't get warranty. So I don't complain.
