I think it's the whole thing of buying them. Like it means nothing. If I met tanner and he signed my skis, that would be awesome. But why would I buy them just to buy them? Your just wasted $1000 (probably of your parents money) to by a wall decoration that you don't even have an awesome story to tell about how you met him. Unless you want to tell everyone how you stayed up late into the night to do some hardcore bidding and you're amazing skill of bidding the very last second of the auction.

jeremy nobis signed my Nobis Inspireds but that didn't rally make them worth more, and he's one of the highest paid skiiers in the world.

so thall skis are usually around 450ish... which would make thalls signature worth over 500 bucks.

I've got a tonne of signed posters and they're worth nothing more than they would be if they weren't signed. It's no different for a ski.

Those skis are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. But hey, if this guy can get 1000 for em, more power to them.

Personally, it would be awesome for jibij to display them in the store. Having signed items and memorabilia would definitely add a lot of character to the store.
Look at places like Hard Rock Cafe. A lot of times its a lot of fun to just see of of the interesting stuff on the wall. Might be a little cheesy but pretty cool. Maybe start a small freeskiing hall of fame in the store. Considering they are really one of the few newschool specific stores if not the only. And they really have a big impact on the industry.
Example: Having tanner's poles that he used when he won slopestyle at winter X in 04'.
And I doubt they will get $1000 for them. But hey idk, if i could get a lot of money for them I would sell them.
