i personaly hate seeing a kid who is just starting out in the game and is riding the newest shit (Armada T-Halls, Line Chronic)and don't know nothing. I have been riding for years, and i can't get a new pair of skis every year. I am fucking poor, i need to make my shit last. I think all groms schould start with used.

just starting out in the game? all beginners should start with used? I think too many people here take skiing so seriously they forget it's a recreational sport. You dont have to 'earn' the right to use good shit. Anyone who can afford to ski is relatively rich so hating on someone who spends alot of money on skis is just retarded.

I agree. I can't afford the best shit but if some one can more power to them. I just love it when some one is decked out and you can ski way better then them. Look them in the eyes in the lift line and its like, ughh, whats up now bitch.

Ok i wanna say something cuz there have been alot of threads like this and i sorta mite fit into somepeoples description. I have real nice gear, ill be skiing on a brand new pair of last years ar5s, and i have a bunch of other new gear. Ive been skiing since i was two, so i can rip the steeps and trees. But these ars are my firsst pair of twins and i can only throw like 1s 3s and some easier rails. Do i deserve to be hateedd on?

No the problem isn't with the twin tips, it's with the attitude that goes along with the twin tips. So many kids are shitty skiers, but think they're god's gift to the mountain... but at the end of the day they're the ones that bail on a straight air.

Dont be mad that someone else has something better than you.. even if it was all handed to them from their parents. Just be GALD you have what you have.. so many people will never be able to afford a lift ticket much less 4 year old 1080's or 1260's. Be greatfull for the gear you can afford, that your healthy enough to use it, and that you have a bed to sleep in.

All you that think people that are just learning shouldn't have the newest stuff need to chill out. You can apply this to anything, should people that are just learning to drive not drive new cars just for the simple fact that "their just beggining" Or people that are just learning how to do any other sport should start with used equipment. New stuff makes it easier. When you were just starting you would have wanted the same stuff.

my best friend has invaders, 1080s, and siver pants and jacket. he sucked last year and we've only skiied one day this year but he thinks hes better than me (i skiied for 3 years, snowboarded for 2, skiboarded (i know, they're gay. i just wanted to try) and now im in my second season skiing again) I like him but people like him who buy everything, talk shit, and don't even know to pop off of jumps or how to build one do need to get shot. Or just keel hauled.

everyone's gotta start somewhere, ive been skiing sence i was like 4 and no one had twin tips and you didn't see othewr kids saying,"oh that kids gay he's got the new so and so." most skis that company's are producing that are soft and follow a fast learning curve are twin tip. people buy what their comfertable with and what they like, thats why this is the US
