Hey, i'm in need of some new clamps for tuning my skis, and skis of my customers. I decided that instead of washing dishes at the restaurant up the street, I'll tune skis for a fair price. But i've been using the clamps my dad has used since he was 16. THe things are crap. But, I have a low budget, what would you recomend that I buy to get something better, and for a good price?
i would just get a couple vices that mount to a table, olt them down and then u can put the ski base up for waxing or edge up for sharpening, but you have to for edge repair u do need clamps for better control.
I like using the Kuu Double Super pro vise, but the sucker is the same price as a pair of dope skis. There are some vises for $150 or so, which might be within your budget.
