Are touring bindings worth it?

Im thinking about getting touring bindings because i do a bit of bc in the woods around my house, and for a trip out west, and for hiking tuckermann's ravine. Is it worth it, and are they acceptable for normal use on the rest of the mountain?

They're fine as long as you aren't hucking anything much over 20 feet or so.

However, keep in mind that you also need skins in order to go anywhere.
