So i took my volant spatulas in today to get what I thought was just a delam fixed. I would have had them warrentied because this happened within the first 5 days of use, but figured it would be a big hassle considering the ski hasn't been produced in 2 years. Turns out my core is cracked in the tail just before the curved tail. To make matters worse, I cannot warranty them because, like most people I bought them off ebay. I'm getting them sealed up and then I'll ski them till they snap. Is there anyway to get my ski replaced? Honestly I think trying to contact McConkey would be my best bet.
man that sucks, but there is no way your getting this replaced, just for the fact that Volant does not make that ski anymore. On top of that McConkey is now on K2. These skis were a super limited edition ski, soo even if you did contact the company they probably could not even give you one from THEIR stock. Sorry man.
yep, buying a ski that was only produced 1 year in a super small quantity means getting a replacement is near impossible. my only hope is that shane still has some sitting around his garage. Or maybe if I can get in touch with him and make him feel sorry I could get hooked up with a pair of K2's. OF course this is all doubtful, Does anyone have shanes contact infor by chance?
pretty sure Shane got rid of his last available spat to someone on TGR awhile ago.
Go post on TGR and either see if you can buy a single spat or sell your currently functional single. People have been looking for singles for awhile. Probably your best best.
A cracked base it pretty bad, so probably no way to fix it.
Get rid of the spats and replace them with G-Funkensteins.
