Well I just got back from big sky and all I have to say is it was sick. They have more snow right now then they did mid december of last year. I was hitting almost knee deep powder. Im thinkin its gunna be a sick year.
What kind of stuff did they have set up? I'm heading up tomorrow to ski, although I was working in Big Sky today and it felt like it was getting pretty warm.
2 prob 8ft flat rails, then 25ft flat rail but it was at a down angle, then a small plastic can jib, then a up-down box, then another 8ft flat, then this big stall on a metal can(that was really fun until the lip got fucked).
It was pretty good up there today, I was surprised! I only hit the little park a couple times because I was having a lot more fun skiing. Had a pretty good wipeout doing 30+ down the big rock tongue, so that woke me up a bit. Even with the weather as warm as it was yesterday, there was still a ton of good snow to be found!
The bowl is open! A bit crusty on top, but where it's tracked out it's really soft and fun to ski in. Also, the tram's opening saturday, so that should be interesting as well. I'm thinking the ski shops will be selling a good amount of petex after this weekend, but maybe it'll be ok up there.
Well I'm at Bridger for the rest of the year now, save for a few park days at Big Sky. I'll probably be up there in a few weeks to see how things are, but for now Bridger is just too ridiculous to leave!
