all within $50 of eachother. I ski 70% park and 30% all mountain. Right now i'm skiing 1260's but they're getting old, and will soon become my rock skis. They work well in powder, and are a blast in the park, but i'm interested in trying somethign new. I hear great things about the tweaks, and am told that the Volkl's are good, but are too skinny for powder. I'm leaning toward the tweaks, or new 1260's. Looking for opinions, and if you suggest a ski, please tell me WHY you picked it as the best. Thx.

over those skis i would take...

msps, arvs, ants, jp vs. juliens, elizabeths, prophets, chronic wides, mo ships, seth vicious, madens, public enemys, karmas, sumos, sanouks, tha 187s, big troubles, guns, orrrrrrr shadows.

personally i would go with scratch,although i cantthink of anything really to say about the tweak. your old 1260's are just that, old, andnot up to par with newer skis. the vokl is a good ski, but as you said you probablywant somethingwith more underfoot.
thenew scratchs aremuch much better than the old ones, andhave enough underfoot to ski other stuff. again, that would be my pick.

seriously fuck you guys. If i had the money, i definately would go with something better. Or if mommy and daddy bought me everything, i wouldnt' even be asking. I'd love to have some Armadas, or some 4FRNTs, but i have to work for my shit, and between paying the bills (insurance, and tuition) right now i can only spend $250, and after looking on e-bay those are the ones that i can AFFORD. i have a brand new pair of Look P12's that have been sitting in my closet because I dont want to put them on my old skis, so i was looking for new ones.

you think my mommy an daddy buy me anything? hah! nope. i pay for all my shit myself.

i make barely more than minimum wage and pay for a truck, insurance, fuel, an apartment, utilities, and food. i'm not going to school at the moment, but in january i'll be paying my own tuition as well.

my point is that i don't feel sorry for you. i've been at the point where i couldn't buy a tank of gas to go chill with some friends in my hometown for the night.

check the classefeids and ski equipment for used skis. there are tons of great deals around, but you just have to look.

I wasn't attacking you, or asking for sympathy. Just trying to get people to understand that I KNOW they're not the best skis, but they're the ones that I can afford.

Scratch. If you want a stiffer ski (not chattering when going fast, east coast ice) go with the Tweak. good skis
