ive toned down since last year but last year was over 100+ drinks a week. and the year before that (travelling) was close to the same. now im at 20 max. alot of weeks none.
I drink alot, not as a religion, or lifestyle, it's just something that i do on a regular basis with the friends and shit. i'm gonna be drinking alot this weekend!
All these Alcoholic classes ive had to take kind of scared me to not drink as much. But I bet as soon as I get my first beer (its been like two weeks), I will go back to normal binge drinking on weekends.
I used to drink all the time I cut back last winter because it was either get up early and ski or be hungover, the choice was fairly easy. I just can't get back into it. the older you get the worse the hangovers get. Now everytime I drink I'll feel sick for two days
yea i'm definitely participating in that lifestyle....but i'm not like a scumbag about it who gets trashed in my dorm room ev. night by myself or with like 2 people
i started off the yr drinking hardcore at parties tues-saturday but now i just drink thurs, fri, and saturday
i drink alot, but i am trying to tone it down a bit, its getting way too expensive and i am sick of not remembering entire evenings, like meeting people, and starting fights and shit.
its called relaxing and plenty of people do it, if you only dirnk because people are around you are called a social drinker or someone who wants to be cool, whichever you prefer. Real drinkers will drink anytime, anywhere :D
Relaxing with a couple beers is one thing, but getting trashed alone is totally different. Mad respect for you guys because you drink a shitload of alcohol, damn I hope someday I can down that much liquid.
I'm chilling at my house, want to stay low and just kick it with my girlfriend and in the middle of that I want to get hammered. What is so wrong with getting drunk by yourself? I don't need friends to be there drinking with me or what if you have a friend who is "drinking" with you but in reality he is sipping on it and you are getting trashed. That would be also considered getting trashed by yourself and I'm sure most of you would consider that not drinking by yourself.
hes saying the difference between getting wasted alone or with other people, sorry there is none. You think the people who get completely shit faced with their friends don't have drinking problems, haha. guess what buddy, the first step is admitting you have a problem. Denial/justification is a rather comforting blanket I'll admit.
drinking by yourself does not mean you are "dependant" on alcohol...think about that word depedant, it means you cant fucntion without it...NOT drink on your own with it. fuck it, i drink on my own...i like it, i like the taste of beer...in fact i just drank a decent amount a lil while ago. you cant go on bashing people who just like to drink and calling them alcoholic...grow some fucking brains....and squegee your third eye bitch!
yeah besides if you can't go out with your friends without drinking, you are also dependant. so before you try to act all high and mighty like your drinking is justified sorry it's not.
P.S I don't drink by myself, in fact I don't drink often anymore at all. I just don't feel there's anything wrong with it. I know plenty of alcoholics who lead happy productive lives. Alcoholics are people we are addicted to alcohol for one reason or another. Drunks are people who let it ruin their life and beg you for change walking into the liquor store
i can "go out with my friends without drinking" people who label other people as alcoholics too easily are a bunch of little non-adventurous pussies who havent gotten a little bit scared a couple of time in their lives....you have to expereience that shit to be able to say youve lived. why do you ski? for me its because i get scared of it sometimes and that shit drives me man. you get that rush of that cliff you just dropped or that treeline you just did. same with everything outside of skiing. smoking, drinking, doing stupid shit. i used to smoke to get that feeling of "oh fuck dude im stoned as shit" after you just ripped your buddies brand new 3 foot glass bong (jay belanger) i like to drink because of that feeling you get from it, in the case of you just feel free (as so many people tend to claim with skiing as well) and usually i like to do stupid shit with that shit, and sometimes even without it just from haning out with my friends. so dont go around calling people who like to fucking live life and experience all the different things and situations it has to offer as alcoholics. there is a lot more shit surroudning it.......bitch
Dood chill the fuck out bob_dole, your taking this too seriously. Its just alcoholism is easy to have and not realize. I mean my posts were kind of stupid making harsh accusations that everyone was an alcoholic. I guess I've just seen a lot of people go down because of alcohol, and it just causes a lot of problems when its abused so heavily. Partly I may be brainwashed from a six hour alcohol group counseling shit I went to last saturday.
gens a loser too. all this shit comes down to the fact that people who like to drink, like to live life to its fullest, i like to get a lil rush and not just sit around and twiddle my thumbs all the damn time
I part take in the "lifestyle" here and there. But its sooo expensive and i find gettingfrunk gets old if i do it too much gotta rest someday. And I dont wanna become an alcoholic, it also appears alocohol and sports dont worktoo well togther.
alcohol is awesome. If your bored, sitting around with some freinds with nothing to do, start drinking! Something fun will happen, sometimes bad, but whatever. Suck it up and tip back another drink.
maybe not the world. pullman in washington is THE unofficial drinking capital in the states. there's some store over there that sells more beer a day than ANY other store in the U.S.
For all of you complaining about the cost of alcohol, think about how inexpensive it is as compared to the other socially acceptable drug, weed. Someone with a weed "addiction" is going to being paying a lot more per week than an alcoholic would.
