Replying to Salomon 1080's issue

I just got some new Salomon 1080's at a big ski sale. They are the 05's, the neon yellow ones. My origional thought was to get Scream Xtra Hots to partner with my current SX 7's, but the salomon rep. talked me into 1080's as a better ski for my situation. They also only had 175's and up in the Scream and I'm only 135lbs, so that's too long for me. I don't hit the park that much, but he said the 1080's arn't necessarily park skis. He told me they are great for off piste, powder, crud, and glades. Was he lying to me? That bastard. Or did I get the perfect ski. I'm just want a ski to balance the advantages of my SX:7's.
