This company, whose software i am actually using, is such a bitch. Well windows users should know that windows crashes fairly often, that internet explorer is the worst browser you could use, same for outlook, and such applications. But here's a story:
Apple, when the I-pod came out, forgot to patent their wheel system. So microsoft, such a money scraping company, did not miss the occasion to buy the patent for that wheel system. And now, guess what. Apple needs to pay microsoft for every I-pod that gets sold, even thought they created the system.
Fuckers. And my computer crashes so often, i hate them.

Bill Gates is/has always been/will always be a thief. the only reason windows is where it is today is because Gates used Steve Wozniak's original layout and design for the first Mac OS as a stepping stone. look up the history of both companies and you'll see that it is filled with battle after battle about originality and copyrights, and all of them are against Bill Gates and Windows OS.

they are just a company like any other. its really I guess a bit ironic, but not a big deal. the point of every semi-large to large company is simply to make money. that is #1. they may have other objvetives as well, but that is #1!

this is all an issue of basic business ethics and inherent copyrights and what not. and Mac OS is a much more complicated OS that is the best of the best for PROFESSIONAL developers out their, and as for the stock issue it is an agreement so that instead of Microsoft paying Loyalties and fees on all the software that they wanted on Macs for people to use they just had to buy uncontrolling shares (not nearly 20%) at triple the trading price. which helped keep Apple's stock inflated. so both companies conive and cheat and whatnot. I just happen to like mac computers better.

dude there is no way you can argue which OS is the "best of the best" for developers. i'm not saying that development on a mac is bad, i'm just saying you can't declare any one OS is the "best" - it all depends on what you're doing...

meh, if i had the $$ to buy the patend i would have too. Every bussiness person out there is out there to make the green. Wheter you already have a shit ton or not thats the goal of business! Microsoft prolly doesnt make too much $$ of the patend per one maybe like a few bucks but when 10,000,000 are sold then it turns to a lot. Kudos to microsoft for making the most of apples dumb ass mistake.

First, Apple isn't currently paying Microsoft anything per iPod. Microsoft owns the 'wheel' patent, but they haven't used it yet.
Second, patents in the US depend on the time of invention, not when the patent is filed. Apple will probably appeal the patent, because they'll say they had millions of iPods already on the market when Microsoft filed the patent so obviously they invented it sooner. Then Microsoft will need to prove that it actually invented it earlier than that, and it will go on and on and on. This is probably many years from being resolved, let alone anyone being able to charge anyone else money for using a 'wheel'.

and as for windows... mine never crashes and when it does it becasue i am doing alot of streaming, downloading, and burning. and that rarely happens. depends on your system settings and what version of windows ur running.
