tanners Gorilla style

Tanners on snow stlye sux. I'll give him he has helped lead gred advancements in skiing, but the 'Gorilla Style' is the worst thing since knee high ski boots. What ever happened to the balanced body position? Look at the great skiers such as douglas, Sczocs, JL Regnier. They all know how wasteful( in energy), injury proned and ugly stle this is and would never include it in their skiing. Thumbs down to tanners on snow style.
And another thing, all younger park riders need to know how to ski before riding parks. Yesterday at Killington was the prime example of losers who could huck- at least spin and slide (rails), but couldn't turn, even on the flats to save their lives. they rode in the gorilla stance and all of us older folks who know how to ski definately made fun of them. It felt good to heckle people like i was a kid again.

well this has been an interesting thread. Lots of comments on all issues. Glad to hear your views. Looks like the majority agggrees with me that tanners gorilla stance is an ugly ON SNOW style and that there are many kids who ride park and pipe who aren't that good of freeskiers. Gotta go- it snowed 4-6 last night and there is a catted mogul training course to play on. Also, tomorrow I will be guest judging the skier catergories at the turkey rail jaim at killington on upper east glade. Bring your gorilla stance and go big. or simply just go big, but keep it reel.

mogul training.......sounds like fun!!! bust a cossack for me


my intire crew waited for his ass at the bottem of the hill and beat the shit out of him. i broke his poles agianst a tree, and we snapped one of his skis. fucker got uppercutted so much. he was bleeding from his eyes and shit, crying like a little pussy. i busted out a body slam on his ass and broke both of his arms. the ski patroler broke up the fight and clipped all of our tickets. we where gonna beat the shit out of the patroller but my mom came to pick us up.

I dont really care either way, but his in-air style is the same as Pollard's, in fact, I would say Tanner has borrowed a bit from him, as many people have. Just the way he skis into and out of the jump is unique, do we get judged on that? if so, it seems kinda dumb.

i really don't think that someone's personal style (steeze, whatever the fuck you call it) really matters. this sport is called freeskiing, newschool skiing and a whole list of other names, but the whole point is that it is about being free to do whatever the fuck you want to do. if you wanna ski with your hands at your ankles, so be it.

man this is lame

from Ozzy's last post we see that he has what I like to call 'small jimmies syndrome'

this commonly occurs after somebody gets ruled by a larger group, and then turns to insulting the group and trying to make himself seem better.

it really is sad, there is no cure except making sure the carriers don't breed. which generally isn't that hard, all things considered. ;)
