That movie was not really good at all. The music sucked except a couple songs. Candide, Woods, and Pep had good segments but they were all short. Editing sucked, the beginning was queer with the animation, and there was no progression in it except the jibbers.

i havent seen the prophecy yet but i saw mind the addiction and the jib sections they did have I thought where really impresive but TGR seems to focus to much on backcountry and is not really that exciting of backcountry its kind of just cliff droppin' and powder skiing.

i hate when people whine about films showing too much backcountry. you can never get too much backcountry.
that's the future of skiing. if you saw the frontline, you saw that about 70% of the film was backcountry and big mountain riding.

i was a little disappointed with the big mounatin jib fusion, they called it prophecy and made it out like people were going off last winter with the idea, but all they had was a few younger dudes hucking and doing a few small spins, i thought i was going to see switch back 5s and misty 9s off cliffs, some seriously cool crap, they showed like two clips of what i think was a d-spin off a cliff and maybe a back full, but it was brief and they didnt show the landings, and they only showed sage try landing switch in pow once, but i still thought it was intense to watch and tgrs best yet, i wish they had johann olafsonn in it again, he rocked in mind the addiction

I like Mind The Addiction and Further better than the MSP films. And that's despite the cheesy commentator that TGR always uses. Hvent seen Prophecy yet but will buy it out of loyalty.

further had awesome parts in it but was only a 1 timer after that most of it got the fast forward treatment. I Think that is not really aimed the people who just enjoy jibbing though, TGR arent out to make a PBP type of movie where its mainly about the tricks. They after a movie that shows skiing in its whole form. I much prefer the PBP style as the back country just skiing seems to get boring.

any of you notice TGR's film quality always seems kind of cloudy and washed out? other companies movies always seem so much crisper. also most of the best stuff in their films are in other movies anyways.

Ski movies are just opinions. I dont like MSP films much but I dont say they suck, they are just not my kinda movie. Personally I like TGR films the best.

yeah i almost walked out halfway through. does anyone know why jeremy nobis wasnt in it? i thought he was like one of the big boys for TGR. hopefully salad dayz will be good. it should be.

im not ripping on backcountry I think its really sweet.....just not TGR's backcountry. They advertise more as a Jib flick when its more Warren Miller sort of.

yea just like you said you werent that impressed with prophecy..which i wasnt that much either...same wtih the front line...i went into it with really big expectations (which might have been the problem) but as i left it...i didnt feel that stoked i guess...one of the sickest parts of the movie though was the snowmobiling part...those guys are NUTS ! but yea...i want all that impressed with it...i mean seths part was kcikass...but a lot of the segments lacked something i guess...it wasnt that much of a step up from last year as high society was from ski movie one you know ?...ahhh well im out

I thought Candide had the best section in the movie. Sage Cattabriga was sick too. All the riders knew how to ski everything. The snowboarding just proved how far ahead they are than us.

First and foremost park is aewsome and fun, but there is nuttin like backcountry and the feeling of lonliness and nature and all that solidarity bull shyt. MSP also charecterstically Bigmountain compoany made one of the rgeatest flicks in my opinion ever made ' Global Storming'

MSP sucks, they have the best footage but awful music and poor editing and short sequences make them suck.
