Has anyone ever heard of the New Riders Of The Purple Sage? They're awesome stuff, and a few of their albums have Jerry Garcia on them because they were real close with the Grateful Dead, and they sound like the Dead too. It's good stuff, so check it out if you can.

you're the only person i've ever met who has heard of them besides my dad and his brothers. they do kick ass. garden of eden is a kick ass song and wasted tasters is a kick ass album. i think my dad said he was at a concert where they played w/ the dead.

thats funny cuz my dad and all his brothers are dead heads and thats where i heard about nrps. and one of my uncles is obsessed with the dead and anything that has anyhting to do with the dead so he has turned me onto all of thier live stuff

same with me, because my uncle, when we go to his house in nantucket, thats all that is on. live dead, it's awesome. and my dad is getting a cd of the tape from the '77 cornell show, widely regarded as the best dead show EVER>
