Who has the best summer camp for your $$$

Hey If anyone could help with this subject It would be great. For years now I've wanted to go to a summer camp out in whistler or Oregon but Im not sure what camp is the best. I've read all the articles in the mags, and they all seem the same. So If any of you guys have been to any camps tell me whats good and worth the money.

If you're an Americaner, Whistler is cheaper. But if you are old enough I would seriously suggest just coming out here with a friend or two and staying in a hotel or something...price comes out about the same if you do it righ...unless you are completely obsessed with meeting pros and learning shit.

i did TONS of research and i really loved Camp oF Champions. it was very tough for me to go, financially, and a very big thing for me. the decision for the best camp would make it or break it. and i feel, i know, that i made the right decision.

if your just getting into newschool then i suggest dave murray.. small park but alota good jumps to learn shit on

if not, then id go for coc, sms, or high north

i went to mount hood summer ski camps, they are way more focused on moguls than newschool.

well for camps in whistler id say coc, you have more skiing terrain(7 lanes oppsed to other camps who have 2-4 lanes, or world mougle with only one lane), alot of free after camp activities, breakfast and lunch, private lifts in the coc terrain park. Free schwag, good coaches.

camp revolution is a really good camp. It has good coaches (the 3 phils to name a few) and one of the best pipes on hood. They have 2 mogul lanes, a few rails and a few larg tabels. The price is a litle lower than some of the other camps.

pick the camp with your favorit coaches cuz there probibly all great... i havnt seen anyone say anything bad abot the camp they went to

i went to windells at mount hood at the end of this summer for 2 sessions. i loved it i learned so much and there were so many different jumps and things, at the begining of the summer theres like 3 pipes. plus there were tons of pros 1st session my coach was skogen and 2nd it was both chris collins and this guy shane. dash was one of i guess guest coaches or sumthing. eric pollard visited and so did brad holmes. i loved it

i went to sms. it was ok, the coaches were sick but i thought the terrain was lacking. in one of the lanes there are about 5 jumps and 2 rails and only 1 of the jumps was worth hitting. and i was hoping for more rails than they had. next year i think im going to coc, maybe high north but i dont htink so

i am gonna try to go to CoC again next year. its just too much damn money, over 2 grand for everything for me.


as for what that kid said about pick the one with your favorite coaches, i wouldn't do that at all. CoC had like ONE well known coach during my session, but that means nothing. just because they are good at something doesn't mean they can teach it. these coaches were great, but mainly, they knew how to COACH. not just execute.

I know a chick who went to the boarder camp and she said she loved the park. And since I'm guessing it's the same park as for the skiers... it would be cool. If I have enough money next year then I'm gonna go.

yeha dave murray's park actually wasn't bad at all. i was impressed.

plus they had a dj spinnin

but i road down the lift with one of the coaches and he was like all like a dick=turn off.

Well ill represent high north and say go there... its pretty much the same price as all the toehr ones, personally i think they have the best coaches, shane, seth, anthony Borowski, Pep Fujas, Marc Macdonell, Marc Abna, and a whole bunch of others, we were the only camp with our own barbeque and we had a kickin system pumpin mad tunes all day long which no othercamp had, we have the only hip jump and and amazing QP that no one can contest with, and we also have the biggest hit on the glaicer with some sick rails... there is no doubt that high north is where its at
What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?

for the guy who said he rode up the lift with a coach from Dave Murray and said he was a dick id like to argue that... This was my 2nd year there and that was the main reason i went back was cause the coachs are so damn awesome none of them are dicks... Anyways ya heres my little Dave Murray plug... They do have a smaller park which is awesome to learn on and build your confidence. The coachs (Myles, Rex, Mauro, Felix, Chris) are awesome guys and always there to push you on to bigger things. All 3 meals are included in the price so u only have to spend more money on food if u want to eat out. The food was actually half decent this year and ya...

i think a good tip for camp is to go to a later mid session cuz if u go to the 1st session there just getting orginized and fixing it all up, if u got to a later session there will probibly be more hits/rails

wrong. i went to session 1 and saw the snow melt such a difference betweeen like day 1 and day 8. like it was so melted.

and all CoC does is rearrange their rails and stuff

oh yeah, did high north have the coach killer? ah, no. making it NOT have the biggest jump? yup.

Windell's may seem more expensive than the others, but remember that you're also getting the best wooden skate facilities in the Pacific Northwest, complete with skate pros, AND like three BMX courses with a resident BMX pro too. It's like three camps in one. There's no music on the hill but all the features are sick, tons of pros and filmers everywhere (if you want to get exposed) and I think you get a day more on-hill than you do at High North.

there was a jump sorta like that at windells during session 7 right after the pipe it was this huge kicker and this one skier went off of it huge overshot the landing by 15 feet, he was about 50 ft up lost all of his momentum and came straight down on his head, he went into convulshins for a minute and a half, but turns out he only had a major concusion and broke his shoulder

I went to coc and it was off the hook. I was suprised because with all the publicity I thought high north was going to be the biggest and best. but when I got there I High north was just this hella small place with nothing that big and a buch of scattered rails.

you gotta ride the high north lane to appreciate it... plus obviously there isnt gonna be as many hits as CoC cause we have like a third of your riders and we dont need as many to keep the lane flowing smoothly dude. and our rails killed yours, and your pipe sucked ass no offense

Mike*D. how can you say your rails killed ours, ours were so much better than yours, our pipe was awsome to for learning shit and boosting big, the walls were like 12 feet, all our rails were of all different skill level and he had the craziest table, only thing you guys had on us was the 1/4 pipe.

what i meant by flair 540 is a backflip 540 on hte quarter. and sms was alright. their coaching was amazing but i thought it was lacking on the terrian. i went their 2 sessions and the big table was only open a few days. their rails were a big let down. having the closest hotel to the lift was nice. but next year im looking into coc.

fuck the camp of rich faggets. im tellin ya boys revolution was the shit. the pipe was oh soooo sick and so perfect, it was the best pipe at hood. the jumps were amazing, u know its an amazing camp when pbp, iberg, and volume, are all shooting video with your coaches during lunch break. yea and revolution is like 1000 dollars compared to camp of cocksmoochers which is like 1700 and it doesnt even include meals. at revolution u get homecooked meals, ahhh soooo good.

dj, high norths lane didnt have a single mogul run in it. that was world mogul who was next too us. and whoever said all hn has is the quarterpipe is retarted. we had the rollercoaster, the stair set rail, and a swingset style rainbow that doubled as a wall ride. coc had the biggest jump but i never saw any one hit it, are big jump was only a little smaller but perfect, not to mention we had the only hip.i suggest high north. there's less then half as many campers then any other camp, plus its the only camp 100 percent devoted to freeride skiing.

actually, coc did have a hip, the only thing i envied from High north was that swingset and the rollercoaster. But one of the best parts of camp of champs was that after we got of the hill it was the camp of partiers!
