So things are moving faster around here, I've been working on some things for the parks. First and foremost, we will not be over on Main St. we are going back to Tyro (the old park trail) for the LG park. Now the thing bout that is, I want to offer you nice features well built and maintained, in order for us to do this with the same amount of resources (1 snowcat and staff) we will be offering 3 jumps instead of 4-5 but you will see more rails/boxes in there for a flowy park. This will allow us to focus on details instead of running around just trying to finish with not as good results. The 1/2 Pipe and rail garden is moving as well, to Lower Standard (old Med Park from a few yrs ago) so you will be able to lap LG Park to Pipe to rail garden or Lg Park to N Slope Med Park. I'm looking for quality over quantity, some may not understand but I would rather have 3 good jumps then 4- 5 not so good jumps, make sense? I will be starting to fabricate rails in the next few weeks and have some good stuff I'm going to build and some experiamental rails????? You'll see when I post teaser pics in a few weeks. N Slope Med Park will still be in the same location and will strech down hill a 100 feet or so to make more room for a little safer hike and huck session. I'll also be switching up the design a bit to try a new feel.
I want you all to know I welcome feedback, my only hang up is please be respectful, be disrespectful and expect to be disrespected, you get what you give. I'll listen to you guys and can and will use the feedback to improve the parks, just know it doesn't happen over night all the time. Anyway, if you guys have ideas, post away, there may be a chance for me to do a little R & D, rip off and duplicate.
Can you feel it? It's getting colder! Kurt

I went to sugarbush for a day last year and what i loved about their park was that you could hit five jumps in a row with perfect speed from jump to jump and each jump got bigger so you started with a 10 foot jump and ended in a 60ish (i think it was around that size). Not saying you have to do this with stowe, but keep in mind that having a row of features with perfect flow is amazing and I'd like to see how you can incorporate that into one of stowes parks. Sounds like you have some good ideas though, now just get them to lower the price of a pass haha

I'd love to put up a 5 jump line but the reality is can I take good care of them? With the amount of parks we offer, I am maxed out on the feature to snowcat ratio, I don't want to overbuild the parks, I want to offer quality stuff, if I get another cat then, yea a 5 jump line is totally there. As for rails, I can only turn out about 4-5 for a season with what I have to work with, we will offer more rails below the 1/2 pipe on lower Standard, and I'll try to keep things interesting.
Thanks for the input, keep it comming! Snow's about to fall soon!
you should post this in the new england forum, you would get a lot more feedback, i don't think many people check this cult

I thought about posting in NE forum, but I want to talk with the guys and gals who ride the park and will provide useful feedback without the attitude. I sent a mass msg to the members, if you know riders who ride Stowe let them know this is up.

A nice big step up jump would be sick. I remember a couple years ago when the park was on tyro the jumps were really nice and you could easily hit all of them. Rails and jumps intermingled is a really good idea.
