I really think Tremblant should introduce the park pass system to the North Park like they have in the South Park. I've noticed that, this season more than ever, the North Park is infested with families, little kids, people doing slalom, etc... I haven't gone one day without some little kid cutting me off on my way towards a rail or jump.

The park is NOT the place for people who are: a) Learning to ski and b) not going to use the features properly.

What do you think?

it would make sense to have a park pass in every park, i think they should just have a pass that is free but you have to go and get it so those families who arent really into park would have an added hassal of skiing there and probably would not to it anymore.

The Great Blue Heron, Ardea herodias, is a wading bird of the heron family Ardeidae, common all over North and Central America as well as the West Indies and the Galápagos, except in deserts and high mountains where there is no water for it to wade in. It is very similar to the European Grey Heron. This is the largest North American heron.

Totally agree with both of you. The North Side was a constant gaper-lanche this year. I don't understand what they are waiting for to introduce a park pass there. Occasionally they have a park dude standing on the hill who tells you not to hit the features if you dont have a helmet, but by that point its usually too late.

I'm pretty sure I heard someone died on the jumps on the North side this year too. Some guy flew in full speed on the first jump and landed on the take off of the second jump. BAAD.

In other news, I was talking to one of the park guys one day and he said that some park authority came by to check out the park and told them they have by far the best park in Quebec. The guy continued to say that they should charge more than 15 bucks. I would have no problem paying the extra money but it will suck for people who are just there for the day.

That's cool to know that our park is the best in qc! The south park this year has been so sick so I'm not really surprised.

As for the guy getting killed in the North park, it's 100% true (I heard it from someone who was there that day). It was a 19 year old guy who launched himself over the first jump with the intention of stomping down on the landing of the SECOND JUMP!! As you said, he hit the second jump up-slope and died on impact. I guess he was trying to pull some Chad's gap kind of stuff.

^so he was actually TRYING to make the landing of the second jump?

That is just insane. Its crazy how you don't hear anything about that death eh? Tremblant sure did a good job of covering their asses on that one.

Case and point on why they should have a park pass on the north side.

from what I heard he tried to make the gap

But he was a gaper and only skied a few times a year. One of my friends had some kind of distant connection with the guy and said he was the type to go white water rafting in class 4 rapids with no experience.

Also apparently he was stoned, which probably makes sense considering he tried to make it to the second hit.

^holy shit that is ballsy.

I just thought it was some gaper who had no idea what kind of speed to get and thought it would be a good idea to hit the jump straightlining it from the top. RIP to that guy. that sucks.

Some girl at the village told me she saw it and that the guy didn't die on impact, that he got back on his feet but spitting blood (internal wounds), he asked if he could be flown away by helicopter to the hospital and his state degraded from there. (Well that's what the girl saind)
Apparently the nose of his board got caught in the snow when he was landing and his body hit the groun like a slingshot.
I didn't know the guy apparently wanted to clear the second jump, I thought it was just a guy who had too much speed.

same here man, for the first few weeks I thought it was just a rumor...I was there the next day (perfectly sunny day) and the North Park was closed so I thought that was kind of odd.

Last year I'd be in the north park working on my rail tricks and there were all these families cruising by. I think its because there isn't a sign about the park on the duncan chair entrance So people thinks its a blue run and ski down to find a park. They definitely need to incorporate some kinda pass for the pipe. It would keep little kids from scraping all the snow of the walls and making it icy.

The north park is a free park. If they made it a park pass they would close off to much terrain.
Personal opinion here the pipe is bad location this is why it get's so icy on the right wall. The pipe is a waste of 200,000 dollars I would rather see some new rails bought...

They should put the pipe on the south side. like were you turn off to hit a bunch of rails instead of the three jumps. They need to get some good smaller down boxes and rails for the north park.
