Judging is completely
on Overall impression.
So when you're watching a run, give it a score based on
how the run as a whole stoked you out. Everything counts, difficulty of
tricks, style, fluidity, variety of tricks, creativeness, etc. Judging is
always totally subjective, so score something based on whether you liked it or
not. Try to remain as objective as possible, but always have it in your mind
that you're going to be stoked on something just because you like it. If you
are a style person, don't hesitate to judge the less technical run higher.
Vice versa if you like technical runs.
For riders, try to put
in a variety of tricks and styles. When you're competing in real life, it's
the guys with the huge bag of tricks that come out on top, not the one-trick
ponies. For those of you who have filmers reluctant to release footage, remind
them that this is low quality footage, and if you get into the open and win
they'll be able to sell shots of you.
