As some of you may or may have not noticed... we have just launched version 1 of our iPhone app. 

This has been a long time in development, and I can't thank Adam and Ian enough for all their hard work on it. 

Notice that we took a different approach to this.   Yes, the app is a paid app, so you're going to have to shell out for it... but we kept it ad-free.   Bottom line, we had to hook up Adam as he put an unthinkable amount of work into this thing.

I'm stoked at trying this model of development out, and am really excited to see your guys opinions on it, as well as the adoption rate. 

Anyways, big shout out to Adam and Ian for all their hard work.    Couldn't have gotten here without you guys.

When you find a bug or have an issue, please, contact me directly. I'm working on a blog entry so everyone knows what's available in the app and what will come in near future upgrades.

On it now, way faster loading than using safari. One thing that I think would top it off is a my threads link. That would be sick. Will future updates be free or will they be paid upgrades?

My threads is on the list hopefully for the next release, along with cult forums. I hope those get done by the end of Feb. I'd like to make updates free until NS does their new site release next year.

And I love how even though I've been working on the UI for months I STILL hit post before I'm done haha.... /fail. Anyway, big shoutout to Adam for all the time he's got into it, it's impressive to see what's possible when you decide something would be awesome to being to life.

Download this app people, adam and Ian have done an epic job making this website easier to use on the mobile devices. I had a chance to use this for a while (RIP ipod) and it was absolutely perfect! so easy!

Alright a small problem ive had a couple times with it. When viewing the threads in b/s/t and other categories, and then clicking back to the main forums it just turns all black and doesnt show any categories like non ski gabber ski gabber ext. Then even if i go back further it still doesnt respond.

I've seen this before. It's because your iPhone is running out of RAM. All iPhone applications have to "dump" items if there is a memory low warning. Ian and I ran into this problem when running a first generation iPod touch that was jailbroken.

Would you PM me the model of iPhone or iPod you're using and let me know whether or not it is jailbroken. If it's jailbroken, there are some things we can do to verify that that is the problem.

Ok I saw the app on my friend's iphone and it looks amazing. Nice job on the long anticipated app, but I have a problem with it. I have the 1st gen Ipod Touch which means I cannot get the new 3.0 update. Not only the iNS app, but now tons of apps in the app store require the 3.0 update.
I was just wondering if there was anything you guys could do to make the app open to people that do not or cannot get the 3.0 update.

Anyway the app looks great

Jailbreak your iPod & upgrade to 3.0 or pay the $10 to update to 3.0

Haha yeah I'm on it right now doing this but I like this idea. Have kik a mini iPod or something next to it lol. My threads is much needed. With all of the trolls and growing population of the website, it is extremely tasking to go through and find threads I've posted in.

Also pics/profile viewing is a must (although I'm figuring this is really really hard to do since I took a c++ class and know about this stuff)

But overall mad props.

Ian used a first gen ipod touch to run iNS. It was usable, but the redrawing on the screen was a little bit slow when reading a single thread. The later touches and iphones have graphics cards in them that utilize the 3.0 firmware.

I'm on the app right now and he only thing rght now hat bothers me is he scrolling on the forum menu. At the bottom I can see the top half if the words movie trailers but when I scroll down the bar just bounces back and doesn't stay at the bottom. Other than that I can see myself using this app a lot and it will be worth the two dollars. This spell check on my iPod is really a life saver lol
