but guys, If you check it, it says the Scott USA company or something, this means the SCOTT Board of Directors would have made the decision. And as Scott Skis would mean like 1% of the company, The people who work on the Scott skis (marketing, designed, testing) would have no say, So really, You cant hate on them, They probably know its best not to get involved but it'd be the Higher Ups that would be Anal about it, and to them its all about the money. They dont care about some skiing industry crap.

Subject: ON3P received demand to change name of “Great Scott”
This post is meant to inform anyone who has to date purchased a “Great Scott” ski from ON3P, or those who are considering a future purchase. In late October, ON3P received a cease and desist order from SCOTT USA Ltd., and its affiliates SCOTT Sports SA and SCOTT USA Inc., demanding ON3P immediately cease commercialization and sales of all “Great Scott” branded skis for reasons of trademark infringement.
We are current exploring the legality of the use of “Scott” in the name of our ski “Great Scott” and should reach a decision in the near future.
Once we have reached a decision, I will post an update on the matter.

Not really thread related. But I work in a bike/ski shop who deals with scott. And they are total PIA. We've had a bunch of problem with them.

this just goes to show that wallisch is no longer core..not that he personally agrees with scott's actions, but i feel that his past sponsors never would have done something like this. basically scott is more concerned with making money and goin after the little guys for bullshit reasons. this is a lot like the WME and Level 1 situation in my opinion.

why is being "core" such a big deal? put yourself in his shoes, sign with a company paying you more money or stay with a company so you can be "core'.
