Subject: Temps are finally droppin
Today is a good day. Checked the weather report for Boyne Falls next week and finally we'll be below 50 pretty much all week, lows below freezing with precipitation happening.
Winter is on its fuckin way!
And the U.P has only highs in up to 40.

I'm making a bold prediction... Since the temps are for sure getting lower in the UP, I think within 10 days we will have one snowfall that will drop enough for me to ski. Snow is not far away here in Marquette.

Crystal and Boyne are both at freezing temps now for lows, and in fact most nights they hit below freezing, but the highs are still in the mid-upper 40's........
I took thanksgiving weekend off with the intention to ski all weekend, on whatever there is to ski on haha.

I had that weekend for Thanksgiving off, but it looks like its going to be like in the mid 40's or low 40's at the very best by Thanksgiving. Sure the night time lows might allow them to make some snow, but on facebook boyne mountain for instance has said they haven't started making any snow yet.
So skiing the day after thanksgiving is looking highly unlikely.

yup. even if a hill manages to open on thanksgiving day.....it will be raining probably.
