Subject: Anyone else on here ride DH in Ohio
There is a pretty consistent shuttle every Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon that rotates between Mohican and Horn's Hill
Damn, no one? Some of you guys should give it a shot. Perfect summer sport even though its kind of expensive.

Looks like fun. Are there easier runs for people that have never been before? I wouldn't want to be that guy that slows everyone down because it looks like the trails are pretty narrow.

No there are no other runs but you dont need to worry about being in the way as long as you start at the back of the pack. Everyone there is pretty chill and stoaked to see new people. Yes, and even some of the lower end xc bikes from bike shops. Most dirt jumpers would do fine tho

A used dh/fr bike is about the same as getting into skiing. 250-350 for skis, 150-250 for bindings, another 300 for boots etc...
Horns is about 45 minutes NE of Columbus and Mohican is sort of near Snowtrails. If you have never ridden before do not go to Mohican.

Horns is also completely manageable on hard tail XC bike providing that you know how to ride pretty well.

I'm curious as to what kind of "mountain bikes" the ARC at OSU rents. Anyone have any experience with that?

i want to get into it but its just waaaay to expensive for me. the last tiem i went i went to mohican with my buddy Harrison Reynolds who is good as fuck, he goes all over the place riding and im sure you guys have prolly seen him somewhere. but ya i wish i had enough money to do it.

We rode 7 Springs today... I must say that place is about 100 times cooler on a bike than skis.
looks sick! i used to ride alot before I blew my knee and got poor in college lol. wanna get back into it though.

I know its a long shot but if anyone finds themselves in the NW lower michigan area there are some AMAZING unknown dh trails that scare me shitless in a small town called elberta.
