Thoughts on Fujatives?

Although I was pretty much set on Armada Pipecleaners, last night I found a place that has a set of 2008 K2 Fujatives for a rad price.

I'll be skiing 70% park and 30% groom runs, and might eventually take them in pow. I prefer jumps over rails, but want something that can handle it all. My skiing ability, i'd say, is advanced.

So what i'm wanting to know is what people think of the Fujatives? When I made a thread about Seths and Pipecleaners for park and pow, people said look into the Kung Fujas'...what are the Fujatives like in comparison to these?

Any help is much appreciated.

the fujatives are about 10 mm wider throughout the ski and about the same stiffness( both are medium to soft and easy to butter). the kung handle pow better the fujatives handle park better. id say post the price and we can see which would be better

Kung Fujas' in Australia are relatively hard to find. They retail for $849 Australian dollars (so about $650US). The 2008 Fujatives that i'm looking at buying are $399.

Hence why i'm wanting the Fujatives...

when i looked at them in the shop i wasn't convinced about the build quality compared to other skis on offer, so i went for some solid atomics instead

but i have never skiied on fujatives so i wouldn't be able to speak about the ride, so you'll have to make up your own mind! the skis choose the rider!

The Fujatives are a rad ski. Compared to the Pipe Cleaners, they have edges that are twice the thickness as well as thicker base material. All made for durability. Can't go wrong with those.

The fujatives are a bomber ski. Fun flex for butters. Cap construction makes them quite strong too!

I have no idea what the newer Fujatives are like, but I've got the first generation Fujatives and I've got nothing but good things to say about them.  Build quality and durability has been amazing.  They are super buttery and definitely a fun, playful ski.

So I got my Fujatives today - pretty stoked on them. They seem damn flexy, especially compared to my old Public Enemies, which I liked, but didn't love. I got the bindings mounted on the Fujatives a tad back from center, where the little 'K2 Suggested' sign is. Hopefully i'll like center mounting, cos on previous skis i've had them much farther back and found it put me off balance on rails and in the air.

I can't ski them for another 10 days, but i'm sure when I do they'll be sweeeet. Looking forward to buttering everything I can....
