Subject: Mount Snow to Blow Snow Tonight, park possibly open October 29th

Game on. Snowmakers are reporting for duty at 11pm tonight - fan guns will run on Launchpad if Comments:
You've waited long enough.
The National Weather Service says temps will drop into the mid 20s over the next two nights. And as we all learned in 2nd grade, that is below the freezing mark. Randy and the Miracle Makers are reporting for duty at 11pm tonight, and they will most likely fire up the fan guns on Launchpad in the wee hours of the morning.
And oh yes, we planned ahead. The mowing team has kept the grass on Launchpad buzzed short, so it won't take much snow to get 'er open. Remember last year, we opened a small terrain park on the Pad on October 29? We'll probably do that again.
Stay tuned in the coming days - winter is coming early.

I skied today, it was SICK...lot of the snow melted but still ton of fun. Huge thanks to park crew, they did a sick job.

set up was a small flat rail (like 8') to a nice down 20' box to a 20' flat down/a-frame type box
guys there said they are making more snow tonight and should be set up again tomorrow.

I skied from about 130-4. It got pretty lean toward the end. I wish they had set up a bigger rail though. But I cannot complain about free skiing in the middle of October.
Rain tomorrow during the day, then some help from mother nature at night with 1-2 inches of snow.

How the hell do they pull this off? What about liability? No resorts in Tahoe will let you touch there hill with out a ticket, for liability purposes. Even if the ticket is just a dollar.
