Armada arv chip

Hey i skied my 07' armada arvs for the first time yesterday and they seem to chip easily..is this normal ?

Mine chip like CRAZY. I've ridden them about 10 times and pretty much half of the whole ski edge is chipped.

Its called sandwich construction.  The topsheet damage might be annoying, but its just superficial.  SKis made with sandwich construction will perform better than capped skis.
