This ski was fun, but with the durability issues it is hard to recomend this to anyone.
Performance
Although this is a soft ski it was surprisingly able to still hold an edge on the hard packed groomers and tear through wet crude.
Design
This was my first symetrical twin tip I have had and found the center mount a fun addition to my skiing.
Value
With the durability issues, no it is not worth the full price. But when free it's not a bad deal.
Characteristics
The flex of the Invaders is possibly it's main selling point. This ski was fun to attempt presses and buttering.
Durability
Horrible!!! I did not mount these until late season because I expect them to have issues. I was right after one week of skiing park I had the topsheet delam along with multiple cracks in my edges. These skis are not durable!
I love this ski. You can't go wrong with it. The price and performance are exactly what I need for how I ski. The only other ski I really enjoyed was the 4frnt STL, but I havn't used that enough to get a full review. But out of the skis I've ridden, and owned. BUY THEM
Performance
I love my Invaders. The performance exceeded what I want out of them. Mostly because I like flat ground tricks and rails instead of huge airs. if you're like me, and envy the snowboarders manuals and butters, buy the Invaders, very easy and fun to copy them and laugh at the foam core Solomon skis that don't flex at all.
Design
The symmetrical design is awesome, as well as the center mounted bindings. It is the same ski forwards and backwards on both skis. I loved this, the back was never too small for manuals, and the front was never to big and long to control easily. All around perfect.
Value
For 300 dollars, you can't go wrong. It's even cheaper now. Buy it, and love it.
Characteristics
The butter zone technology works amazingly. LINE really stepped it up on this ski. It bends for butters so easily.I can easily stand in the lift line and lean forwards or back and the tips float off the ground. And ollieing can get me much higher than a normal jump with it's springy characteristics. The flex on the Invaders is very lively and loose, but still fairly stiff underfoot for stable landings.
Durability
This is the only problem. The topsheet lamination comes off. It isn't full blown delam, just a clearcoating, which is annoying. I've also heard of them splitting at the ends. However, that has yet to happen to me and my "delam" is kept at a minimum if you just cut it off when it starts. And after a 50 day season last year of hitting rails, rocks and ice, in the Western NY warm weather, the edges are still sharp (though maintained by me) and the base damage is minimal (still hot waxed by me weekly). They are still in near perfect condition ready for a 2nd season.
