NSTV Playlists Beta Feedback

However it isn't yet mobile optimized, and you may experience some pretty weird/broken behavior.

You will have to enable the beta on your mobile browser as well.

It is absolutely 100% our goal to get this available and super slick on mobile, but that is Phase 2.

It should either not be connected to NSTV or every video should be integrated with NSTV. Because it's not, I can't favorite videos that aren't on it, or atleast it seems that way.

You can favorite videos on any video view page. Above the Twitter/Facebook custom share buttons there is an 'Add to Playlist' button.

NSTV guide will not let me select my favorites channel is annoying. I think there needs to be an easier way to access my favorites.

For the initial launch there will not be a different way.

Can you tell me more about how it isn't letting you select it?

Like my favorites just don't show up on the NSTV guide at all. It's like they dissapeared or something.

In embedded videos? It's good, just looks out of place. It'd probably look better by the share button at the top left, in the player.

And just something of a minor wording issue: It says "Add to Playlist", but it's also the only way to remove from playlist. I can see someone not being able to figure that they can also remove that way.
When you click the video in your favorites, and click play in the top left, there should be a remove button there. That's where I expected it.

I'm afraid that due to technological restrictions, there is no way we can put it in the player. Remember, this will allow you to add YouTube, Vimeo, EpicTV and any other video players we add to the system to playlists. So we can't put stuff in the player.

I know the button is a sprinkle out of place, but it works very well.

Playlist management is in MyMedia. I know that we need to make that a little more clear, but you actually don't manage the removal from there. Head over to MyMedia and you can fuck with your playlists, re-order them, delete, etc.

I think it worked well, bit it was sort of hard to find in nstv.
Right now mobile works, and not that well. Although mobile isn't your priority right now, but I think you should fix what you have before you try to add more things too it.

Also that one empty space on nstv's scroll over bar annoys me, it can be a quick way to access your favorites, also the dead links

Alright, so I've finally had time to give it a proper look and I can say that it is awesome! I used to try to keep a list of all of the sick videos I watch, but now you guys have just made it so much easier.

FYI this is now launched into public beta. Still a few kinks to iron out, but you can all now test it.

I'll post up a more instructional article soon.

Yeah its super duper easy once you figure it out, but we definitely know that the user interface could use an overhaul. Hell most of Newschoolers could do with a pretty massive user interface overhaul. :)

I think an add to playlist checkbox or something on every video thumbnail on the homepage would work really well with this system if it's not difficult to code. Then you could cue up lots of videos fast without having to open each video, watch the ad, pause it, hit the add to playlist button and then go back to homepage and repeat.
