Phil and Henrik are doing something different. As two of the most unique and creative skiers in the game, they are constantly pushing the boundaries of skiing and adding their own flavour to the sport. This Fall they are innovating once again by returning their focus to skiing’s roots. They will be on the road premiering their films “Keynote Skier” and “Road to Zion” across North America, bringing their productions to you before the online release on Monday, October 20th.

We want to recognize the grassroots mentality that Phil and Henrik adopt in their skiing, and turn it over to the Newschoolers community. At each stop along the tour, we want NSers to come out and cover the premiere as they see it. Give us your honest view of the movie, the venue, the vibe – whatever it is that you want to pick up on. We want to reach out to you guys who might have an inspired idea for a new article or new take on the tour, and let you run with it. This is your chance to meet the minds behind the Inspired tour, and get an in depth look at how Phil and Henrik operate.



The best content will be shared by Newschoolers and the Inspired family. We want to showcase your talents and help you make connections with some of the most creative individuals in the industry. This is a part of skiing history and we want to help you participate in it. Let us know what your big idea is so we can help you make the right connections to fully capture the experience. Or just go, and report and give us your take on what the Inspired tour is all about, or what it means to your hometown. The possibilities are pretty much endless; do you have what it takes?

We will also hook up our favourite editors, writers or journalists with Newschoolers gear to recognize their efforts and make sure they’re well dressed.

FYI, the map lists them as going to Reno, rather than Lake Tahoe. Until I actually looked at the list of dates I was thinking "that makes no sense, that's a huge detour to take just to go to Nevada of all places."

we used Lake Tahoe as a regional name for a stop while we were looking for locations. after not being able to make something happen up in north lake we decided to reach out to the UNR Ski & Snowboard team to try and spread some stoke to people that love skiing and could assist with setting up the tour stop. I am still talking with the guy from the UNR club and trying to make it happen. nothing is set yet, but we will keep ya updated! sorry for the confusion... we made our first list on where we wanted to go and then we made happen and modified!

we are still wanting to go to the following locations to show the movies.

so you're not exactly sure where you're hosting the lake tahoe premiere? If reno doesn't work then i'm sure you can find a location in truckee. Also, Northstar resort in truckee has a movie theatre so maybe you can host it there. and I live in truckee which would be nice not having to drive down to reno. hopefully you can get a place to premiere it. I would be really sad if they cancelled it.

7:30-7:45 Intro of Movies with Phil and Henrik, group photo with anyone in audience wearing inspired shirt
7:45-8:00 1st Movie
8:00-8:15 give-a-ways and intro to 2nd movie
8:15-8:30 2nd Movie
8:30-9:00 give-a-ways and Q&A with Henrik and Phil
9:00-10:00 autographs, poster signing, photos, merchandising
10:30 we out

I don't want to be one of the official NS people coving the Madison, WI stop, but I sure do plan on attending! I have been looking for some topics to write about lately so I will try to type something up afterwards, but I make no promises about actually following through (or claims about my skill as a writer).

I'll be at the Columbus, Ohio showing! I'm the current VP of Ohio State Ski & Board Team so I've been working with our other officers as well as Inspired Media to help plan this.

I really appreciate that you guys are reaching out to the UNR Ski & Ride club. I ran it for three years and it was hard to get anything going. Unfortunately all my hookups have since graduated, so I don't think I'm much help, but I'll pm RimJobber and see if he knows. He's still in school there. From what I hear the club has gone downhill since 09.

I don't know really anyone in the club or what they're up to now at UNR. You might be better off just talking to someone at the uni directly.



I'll ask around with some ski friends too but the only other place I might be able to think of is the Moment facility in Reno if Armada will let you

I would love to cover the event and am in talks with Cody at UNR Ski & Snowboard (I have class with him twice a week). I'm in the Journalism program at UNR and this would be an epic showcase to start out the ski season!

Would be really cool to see the movies show at UNR rather than the moment facility. If I can get a little help from Inspired we could get posters and such printed and up on campus the whole week before it shows to build hype. I also have connections at Bobos Mogul Mouse and can see if they would be interested in supporting the premiere.

I am sorry BeefiestExpert, it was to expensive to get a venue for us in Portland. We were also worried about a monday night crowd since we were not alined with a ski and snowboard club for that stop. We have moved it to hood river and i think it will be a better fit for our showing. Alot of our ski friends are based out of there as well... Tommy Ellingson, Eric Pollard, Sammy Carlson, Griffen Cummins, and alot more. So hopefully they will all be able to make it out of the woods to the showings now that it is closer to them!

That being said, i think it will be worth the trip for you to make it up to hood river that monday night! we would be stoked to have ya!

Just finished watching Keynote Skier... and the hype is real.

The style, creativity, and sheer detail Phil puts into every single trick is mind boggling. There were at least a dozen shots that completely blew my mind. Phil also did a great job of directing, producing, and editing the film, as it flows perfectly from start to finish. Editing isn't as intense as prior films, and in my opinion the filming is a very noticeable step up. Music, is on point as always!
