I was just thinking that all the clothing that skiers wear represents the army? Things like the bonnie hats and all the camo pants, vests and jackets ect.
Pretty much any time the USA is at war military styles cross over into pop culture. This is nothing new as it is really the same phenomenon as the Andrews sisters wearing military style outfits during W.W.II.
Military gear has always inspired fashion. Peacoats come from the navy, Flight jackets come from pilots, Doc Marten boots were designed for men in World War II, Tactical vest were used to hold gear, etc, etc. Military gear is designed with function as the main consideration, and this translates well to clothing, especially skiing gear where technical performance is important.

It doesn't translate to white kids wearing camo saga pants...
Helmet for shrapnel protection
Flowy shirt for confusing the enemy
Black bandana hiding face, for intimidation
Dual-wield poles for stabbing
Plastic-toed boots for shin breaking
I mean, skiers are really dumb for the most part, and try to sound smart here. But I don't think we're as dumb as those army retards, fuck the army they are stupid

Not really. We are born into a world where we have to respect people that kill other people because they "protect le freedomz", like the pledge of allegiance, our gov is basically communist and run by hitler. We need to say a pledge to a retard flag every morning every day in synchronization, plus the fucking capatilsim cooperate piggies, you're all sheep

You almost have it but it just seems a little forced

you would be surprised how much of my military gear I use while I ski. All of my thermals were issued to me as well as a few balclavas and random other things. Although there are tons of soldiers I see at baker and crystal wearing nothing but what the army gave them. Deff not hyphhhhy

Oh man military days at Crystal are great... A lot of the dudes stationed at JBLM come up when we do military appreciation days for half price and it's fuckin gaper city. And you are right most of them rock full army gear like camo hat and goggles, jacket and pants and everything. Can always spot em a mile away and they tend to be getting hammered drunk so you can hear them too haha.
I find it funny when I see people with issued ACU/BDU gear on hill. The best is when they are using the green beanie and issued goggles.
Likely #POGasfuck
that said, I do enjoy my issued patagonia base and mid layers.
On my last drive, I saw a beat up pick up truck with some old tele skis and a pineland flag sticker on the window.
I don't think anyone is in any danger of mistaking the guys with the woodland boonie caps, saga camo pants and stupid as shit mentality as representing the armed forces.
you could say the same about a lot of sports. Just because people wear helmets, bandanas/balaclavas, goggles and have camo doesn't mean it represents the army.

I don't know if you're making a joke about not being intellectually superior. Literally all I see it is there is a small group of people like us, we see that coorperate ass America is trying to take the fuck over, and we won't let them
I believe ski instructing was started by the French military. Obviously, there is some stretch in it. But many sports are based on military and imperialism.
